As I walked into the crowded café, my heart sank. I was supposed to meet my blind date here, but there was no way I could pick him out of this sea of strangers. My nerves were on high alert as I scanned the room, looking for any sign of the mysterious man I was about to meet. And then, as if on cue, I saw him. But it wasn’t his face that caught my attention—it was the fact that he was wearing a chicken suit.
[Story]
I couldn’t believe my eyes. Standing in front of me was a man dressed head to toe in a fluffy yellow chicken costume. Feathers stuck out in all directions, and the beak flopped with each movement. I felt a mix of shock, confusion, and amusement wash over me as I tried to process what I was seeing.
«Um, hi,» I managed to stammer out.
The man’s head tilted to the side, the beady eyes of the chicken suit staring back at me. «Hello there! I assume you must be my blind date,» he said in a muffled voice that sounded like it was coming from inside a pillow.
I couldn’t help but burst out laughing. «Uh, yeah, I think so. I’m Lisa. And you… you’re in a chicken suit?»
He chuckled, the sound slightly distorted by the costume. «Well, you know how they say laughter is the best icebreaker? I figured why not take that to the next level. Plus, I just really like chickens.»
I shook my head in disbelief. This was definitely not what I was expecting when I agreed to this blind date. But something about his quirky sense of humor was endearing, and I found myself drawn to him despite the absurdity of the situation.
We spent the rest of the evening chatting and laughing, the chicken suit forgotten as we got lost in conversation. It was one of the strangest and most memorable dates I had ever been on, but there was something undeniably special about the man inside that ridiculous costume.
As the night came to a close, he walked me to my car, still clad in the feathered getup. I couldn’t help but smile as I looked at him, the moonlight bouncing off the fluffy costume in a way that made him look almost magical.
And then, just as I was about to say goodbye, he pulled off the chicken head, revealing a handsome face with warm brown eyes and a mischievous grin.
«I hope this wasn’t too weird for you,» he said, his voice now clear and unobstructed.
I laughed, feeling a rush of affection for this strange, wonderful man. «Weird? Maybe a little. But definitely the best kind of weird. I can’t wait to see what other surprises you have up your sleeve.»
And as we said our goodbyes, I couldn’t help but feel like this was just the beginning of a truly unforgettable love story.
