According to an official order issued by Armenia’s Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, Zhanna Andreasyan, the duration of classes and the school holiday schedule for the 2025–2026 academic year have been established for public general education institutions.
The schedule applies to schools implementing state educational programs, including general, specialized, and special education institutions.
Winter Holidays and School Resumption Dates
For students in Grades 1–12, winter holidays will begin on December 22, 2025.
For schools with a five-day school week, classes will resume on January 16, 2026.
For schools with a six-day school week, classes will resume on January 17, 2026.
Spring Holidays Schedule
The spring break schedule varies depending on grade level and the type of school week:
Grade 2 students
Five-day school week: March 23–27, 2026
Six-day school week: March 23–28, 2026
Grades 3–12 students
Five-day school week: March 23–27, 2026
Six-day school week: March 23–28, 2026
These dates define when students will return to classes following the New Year holidays and other scheduled breaks during the academic year.
