Vahagn Aleksanyan has announced that he has been nominated for the position of Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly following a meeting of the ruling party.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Aleksanyan confirmed that he has officially entered the nomination process for the parliamentary leadership role.
Earlier, Nikol Pashinyan announced that Ruben Rubinyan had been selected as the ruling party’s candidate for the position of Speaker of the National Assembly.
According to available information, several party members had participated in the internal selection process for the parliamentary leadership positions before the nominations were announced.
