Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports has approved the academic calendar for the 2026–2027 school year for public schools implementing general, specialized, and special education programs.
According to the ministry’s order, classes for students in Grades 1–12 will begin on September 1, 2026. The school year will end on May 21, 2027 for schools operating on a five-day schedule and on May 22, 2027 for those following a six-day schedule.
The schedule includes separate holiday periods based on grade level:
Autumn break: Holiday dates vary for first-grade students and students in higher grades.
Winter break: Students in Grades 1 and 2 will have a longer winter holiday than students in Grades 3–12.
Spring break: First-grade students will also receive a longer spring break, while Grades 2–12 will follow a shorter schedule.
The updated calendar establishes the duration of classes and school holidays for the upcoming academic year, with vacation periods differing according to grade level and the school’s weekly timetable.
The academic calendar entered into force following its official publication.
