Starting from the 2026–2027 academic year, Armenia’s public schools are receiving access to ChatGPT Edu as part of cooperation between the Armenian Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport and OpenAI.
According to the ministry’s announcement, users can access the platform through their personal account on my.emis.am. After signing in, they need to select the OpenAI button, which will take them directly to the ChatGPT account provided to their school.
The ministry also said that special guidelines have been developed to support the appropriate and effective use of ChatGPT Edu in schools.
The guidance is intended for school principals, deputy principals, heads of subject-specific methodological groups and teachers, helping education professionals integrate the platform into their work and learning processes.
The initiative expands access to artificial intelligence tools within Armenia’s public education system and provides schools with a dedicated version of ChatGPT designed for educational use.
