Gazprom Armenia has announced an emergency gas supply interruption affecting part of Ejmiatsin and several communities in Armavir Province on October 6.
According to the company, a medium-pressure underground gas pipeline was damaged during excavation works carried out by third parties.
As a result, gas supply was suspended from 11:40 in part of Ejmiatsin, the Zvartnots district, and the communities of Tsaghkunk, Tsiatsan, Hovtamej, Mrgastan, Doghs, Aghavnatun, Aragats, Tsaghkalanj, Shahumyan, Dasht, Aygeshat, Amberd and Monteavan (Shahumyan poultry farm).
Gazprom Armenia said gas supply is expected to be restored by approximately 19:00.
Residents are advised to follow gas safety requirements when service is restored.
