A practical emergency preparedness exercise will take place in Masis, Ararat Province, on October 12, during which an electric warning siren will be activated.
The exercise, titled “Alerting, Evacuation and Sheltering,” is scheduled to be held at M. Mashtots Basic School No. 1 between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
The training will focus on emergency response procedures, including warning signals, evacuation and sheltering.
Electric Warning Siren to Be Activated
According to the announcement, an electric siren will be activated during the exercise.
Residents, students, parents and people in the surrounding area may hear the warning signal during the scheduled period.
The siren activation is part of a planned training exercise and does not, by itself, indicate an actual emergency.
Practical exercises of this kind are designed to familiarize participants with appropriate actions during emergency situations and improve their readiness to respond to warning signals.
The drill is scheduled to conclude at 12:30 p.m. on October 12.
