A tragic traffic accident on the Yerevan–Ashtarak highway on the evening of October 24 claimed the lives of a married couple and left their five children injured.
The victims have been identified as 37-year-old Mkhitar Nazaryan and his 36-year-old wife, Isabella Vardanyan. All five minors injured in the collision are the couple’s children.
According to NEWS.am, neighbors of the family shared heartbreaking details about the circumstances preceding the accident.
Isabella had been staying at her parents’ home in Gyumri with two of the children. The family was marking the 40th day following the death of her mother, a traditional Armenian remembrance occasion.
Mkhitar had traveled to Gyumri with their other three children to bring his wife and the two children back home.
The family was traveling together when the fatal accident occurred on the Yerevan–Ashtarak highway.
