Simon Cowell is clearly enjoying every moment of his role as a judge on this season of America’s Got Talent. And during Tuesday night’s auditions, the 58-year-old music mogul had a heartwarming moment when his four-year-old son Eric surprised him with an affectionate kiss.
Climbing into his dad’s lap, little Eric—Simon’s mini-me—delighted the audience with his playful charm, clearly soaking up some quality time with his famous father.
Simon, who often credits Eric with giving him a new perspective on life, looked overjoyed by the sweet exchange. «That fall was the wake-up call I needed,» he’s said in the past. «Now, I try to see life through Eric’s eyes.»
Wearing a denim shirt, Eric didn’t shy away from the spotlight, even joining Simon and fellow judges Mel B, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum on stage. Before the next audition kicked off, the father-son duo shared an affectionate kiss, showcasing their strong bond.
Simon shares Eric with his longtime partner, Lauren Silverman. The couple has been together for five years, though their relationship had a dramatic beginning. Back in 2013, headlines exploded when it was revealed that Simon had been romantically involved with Lauren—who at the time was married to his close friend, Andrew Silverman. The scandal intensified when photos of the couple kissing on a yacht surfaced.
Despite the rocky start, the pair welcomed Eric in February 2014, naming him in honor of Simon’s late father, who passed away in 1999.
Beyond his family life, Simon has also opened up about his personal self-care choices. In a previous interview with The Sun On Sunday, the X Factor boss admitted to spending £2,000 on a non-surgical facelift to maintain his smooth complexion.
He underwent the Silhouette Soft Lift, a treatment developed by the renowned Dr. Jean-Louis Sebagh—often called the “Picasso of dermatology.” The procedure, which helps reduce sun damage and rejuvenate the skin, is part of Simon’s effort to maintain a fresh, youthful look.
“It hurts like hell,” Simon confessed, “but it clears away the sun damage and gets rid of all the junk. For me, it’s all about having clean skin. If your skin looks good, you look better.”
