1. Sudden gastrointestinal problems
Stomach pain, weakness, nausea, and a burning sensation in the chest may indicate not only gastrointestinal disorders but also heart problems. This is especially concerning if you have never had heartburn, gastritis, or other digestive issues before. A heart attack is more likely if risk factors are present, such as being over 60, smoking, or having high cholesterol levels.
2. Vision disturbances
Any changes related to vision should not be ignored. Seek urgent medical attention if you experience eye redness, pain, tearing, or mucous or purulent discharge — these may be signs of an eye infection. The appearance of spots, flashes of light, or a veil in front of the eyes may indicate retinal detachment rather than simple fatigue. Early medical care is crucial to preserve vision.
3. Sudden weight loss
Unintentional weight loss of 3–5 kg over a short period, without changes in diet or physical activity, can be a warning sign even if you feel well. Possible causes include cancer, especially when accompanied by unexplained fatigue or loss of appetite. This symptom is often associated with cancers of the stomach, lungs, pancreas, esophagus, or uncontrolled diabetes.
4. Bloating
If your weight remains stable but your abdomen suddenly increases in size, this may indicate abdominal or pelvic tumors or fluid accumulation caused by certain conditions, such as liver cirrhosis.
5. New or changing moles
Skin moles require constant monitoring, especially after sun exposure. Regularly examine your skin and any existing or newly appearing spots. Changes in size, color, or shape should be evaluated by a specialist.
