May 4 Workday Shifted for EPC Summit

MediaHub has drawn attention to the agenda of today’s government session, which includes an item related to Armenia’s preparations to host the 8th Summit of the European Political Community (EPC).

Actively involved in the EPC and playing an important role in regional security and cooperation, Armenia is preparing to host the summit with an unprecedented level of participation for the country. Around 50 high-level delegations, represented by heads of state or leaders of international organizations, are expected to attend.

Given the significance of the event and the need to ensure effective traffic management in Yerevan, it has been proposed to move the working day of May 4. The draft decision is based on Article 19 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Holidays and Memorial Days.”

It was previously announced that May 4, the day of the EPC summit, would be declared a non-working day. It is now proposed to transfer the working day to Saturday, April 18.
