March 8 Is a Public Holiday in Armenia; Working Hours Reduced on March 7

According to Article 3 of the Law of the Republic of Armenia “On Holidays and Memorial Days,” March 8 (Women’s Day) is recognized as a public holiday and a non-working day. This year, March 8 falls on a Sunday.

In addition, under Article 147 of the Labor Code of the Republic of Armenia, the working day preceding a public holiday is reduced by one hour, except for employees working under shortened or part-time schedules.

Accordingly, on March 7, the working day will be reduced by one hour for employees who have a regular full-time working schedule.
