Another tragic incident involving the death of a soldier was recorded in the Armenian army on February 7. According to preliminary information, the incident occurred at military positions. The 22-year-old serviceman, David Manukyan, was found dead the day after he had returned to the position. David was from the village of Bagratashen in Tavush region.
Residents of his home village said that he was serving under the “Defender of the Homeland” program. He had a younger sister and lived with his parents. According to fellow villagers, his parents are modest, hardworking people who have built their lives through honest labor.
People who knew David say they find it hard to believe that he could have had conflicts with anyone. He was described as a very modest and well-mannered young man.
