An unusual and disturbing incident occurred on March 16 in Armenia’s Ararat region. A young boy was transported to the Arabkir Medical Center in Yerevan with a diagnosis of clinical death.
Doctors provided emergency medical assistance for nearly an hour and were able to restore the child’s heartbeat. However, the boy remains in extremely critical condition.
Police officers from the Arabkir department later identified the hospitalized child as 1-year-and-2-month-old Aleksan M. According to preliminary operational information, the child had been severely beaten by one of the parents.
According to MediaHub, one person has been detained and presented to the investigative authorities in connection with the case.
MediaHub also reports that the child was brutally beaten by his stepmother, who has now been detained.
