Russia’s Deputy Chairman of the Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, has stated that migrants diagnosed with dangerous diseases should be immediately deported from the country.
Following a meeting of the Security Council’s interdepartmental commission, Medvedev announced that a package of draft laws has already been prepared. According to him, these legislative changes will allow authorities to make faster decisions regarding the residency of foreign nationals deemed problematic.
He emphasized that if a foreign citizen is found to have a dangerous disease, this should lead to their immediate expulsion from the Russian Federation.
Medvedev shared this statement on his social media page after the meeting, highlighting the government’s intention to tighten control over the stay of foreign nationals in the country.
