

A serious and tragic road accident occurred on April 8 in Armenia’s Lori region, along the Vanadzor–Spitak highway.
According to official information from the Investigative Committee, a criminal case has been initiated and an investigative team has been formed to examine the circumstances of the incident.
Preliminary findings indicate that the collision involved a DAF truck and a VAZ 21014 passenger vehicle. The truck was driven by a 42-year-old resident of Armavir region, while the passenger car was driven by a 30-year-old resident of Vanadzor.
As a result of the collision, the driver of the passenger vehicle and a 26-year-old passenger died at the scene.
The accident took place at approximately 15:50 on the 10th kilometer of the highway. Emergency responders arrived promptly, providing first aid to two injured individuals before transporting them to the Spitak Medical Center.
Authorities have confirmed that the identities of those involved have been established, and the investigation is ongoing to determine all circumstances surrounding the incident.
