
A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck the Eastern Mediterranean Sea near the Greek island of Karpathos, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The earthquake occurred at 2:06 p.m. local time, with its epicenter located south of Karpathos at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers.
According to Greek public broadcaster ERT, the tremor was also felt on the nearby island of Rhodes.
There have been no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage, and authorities continue to monitor the situation.
