Applications Open for Armenia’s University Admission Supplementary Competition

Armenia’s Assessment and Testing Center has opened the application process for the supplementary university admission competition, which allows applicants to compete for vacant places remaining after the main admission round.

Beginning July 20, eligible applicants can submit their applications through the Dimord.am portal. The supplementary competition is open to both applicants who were unsuccessful in the main admission round and those who did not participate in the main competition but received passing scores on the required unified entrance examinations.

Each applicant may choose up to six academic programs across one or more universities, provided that vacant places are available and the applicant has obtained the required passing scores for the relevant entrance exams.

The application period will remain open until 6:00 p.m. on July 26, while the results of the supplementary competition are scheduled to be announced on July 30. During the selection process, priority will be given to applicants who participated in the main competition but were not admitted.

According to the Assessment and Testing Center, the Armenian government allocated 12,720 university places for the 2026 admissions cycle, including 2,133 state-funded and 10,587 tuition-based places. A total of 9,620 applicants have already been admitted, including 1,875 students to state-funded programs (including reserved and targeted places) and 7,799 students to tuition-based programs.
