The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia has announced the start of the first phase of online applications for Grade 10 admission to state high schools.
Beginning July 20, the initial registration period is reserved for applicants who qualify for priority admission. Eligible groups include students with siblings already attending the school, children of school employees, and several categories of applicants who meet social or legal eligibility criteria, including children from socially vulnerable families, children under guardianship, and children with disabilities or whose parents have disabilities.
Priority registration is also available for children of public sector employees who have been temporarily relocated to another community within Armenia for official work assignments, provided the required documentation was submitted before the application period opened.
The priority application system will remain open until August 2 (11:59 p.m.). After that, admissions will continue through the general application phase.
General admissions for Armenian-language classes will begin on August 4 at 9:00 a.m. and will be available to Armenian citizens, as well as eligible foreign citizens, dual citizens, stateless persons, and certain other applicant groups. Applications for Russian-language classes will begin on August 11 at 9:00 a.m. for eligible categories specified by the ministry.
The ministry noted that online registration is not required for specialized schools, schools operating under universities, artificial intelligence-focused classes, or institutions where students automatically continue to the next educational level under the school’s internal procedures.
Parents can complete the admission process through the my.emis.am platform by creating and verifying an account before selecting a school. Officials recommend completing account registration in advance to avoid delays once the application period begins.
The ministry also reminded parents that the same user account cannot be used simultaneously on multiple devices during registration. The entire admission process—including applications, communication with school administrators, and contract signing—can be completed digitally through the Education Management Information System.
Online applications for Grade 10 admission will remain available throughout the academic year for eligible admissions.
