

An Armenian servicemember who died while serving in the military has been identified as Narek Torosyan, a resident of Charentsavan, according to local media reports.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee of Armenia confirmed that a servicemember had died on July 21 and announced that a criminal investigation had been launched. Authorities said investigators are carrying out the necessary procedural and investigative actions to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
According to reports, Torosyan was serving at a military unit in Chambarak. The circumstances of his death have not yet been officially disclosed.
People who knew the young servicemember described him as intelligent, disciplined, polite, and modest. He was a graduate of Charentsavan Basic School No. 6.
Reports also state that his mother works as an assistant to the director of the Charentsavan Art School, and that he is survived by his parents and two sisters.
Officials have not yet released further information regarding the cause of death, and the investigation remains ongoing.
