

Short periods of rain and thunderstorms are expected in Yerevan and several regions of Armenia in the coming days, with strong winds possible during thunderstorms.
In Yerevan, brief rain and thunderstorms are forecast in some parts of the city on the evening of August 14, during the night and evening of August 15, the evening of August 16, and the night of August 17.
During thunderstorms, wind speeds in the capital could increase to 18-23 meters per second.
Dry weather without precipitation is expected in Yerevan during the night of August 16, during the daytime on August 17, and on August 18-19.
From August 14 through August 19, winds are also expected to strengthen during the evening hours, reaching speeds of 15-18 meters per second in the capital.
Across Armenia, short periods of rain and thunderstorms are forecast in some regions during the afternoon of August 14 and during the nighttime and afternoon hours from August 15 through August 19.
From August 14 to August 17, precipitation could be heavy in some locations, and hail is also possible.
Winds will generally be from the northeast and east at speeds of 4-7 meters per second. During thunderstorms, however, gusts could strengthen considerably, reaching 20-25 meters per second.
From August 14 through August 19, stronger evening winds of 17-20 meters per second are also expected in Armavir Province, the foothill areas of Aragatsotn and Kotayk provinces, and some parts of Shirak Province.
According to the forecast, air temperatures are not expected to change significantly during this period.
