Gazprom Armenia has announced a major temporary gas supply interruption in Vayots Dzor Province due to scheduled repair work on the gas transmission network.
The interruption is related to planned repairs of the Angeghakot–Jermuk DN500 main gas pipeline.
According to the company, gas supply will be suspended from 9:00 AM on August 20 until 9:00 PM on August 21.
The interruption will affect consumers in the cities of Jermuk, Vayk and Yeghegnadzor, as well as the communities of Gndevaz, Kechut, Herher, Zaritap, Arin, Azatek, Por, Malishka, Agarakadzor, Vernashen, Gladzor and Getap.
Gas service will also be temporarily suspended for a number of businesses, CNG filling stations and other organizations operating in the affected areas, including Gladzor MGH, Vahgal, S. Avetisyan and Partners, Vayk Gas, Roben Y.H., Tamsar, Meline Emilia, Vayki ChShSh, Jermuk Group, Jermuki Nor Kyank, Jersan and This Energy.
The scheduled interruption is expected to last approximately 36 hours, and consumers in the affected communities are advised to take the temporary suspension into account when planning their activities.
Gazprom Armenia apologized to consumers for the inconvenience caused by the planned work and asked residents and organizations to strictly observe gas safety requirements during the interruption and restoration period.
