
A magnitude 5.7 earthquake has been recorded on Indonesia’s Java Island, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).
The earthquake’s epicenter was located approximately 232 kilometers northeast of Rangkasbitung, a city with a population of more than 100,000 people.
According to the seismic data, the earthquake occurred at a relatively shallow depth of approximately 10 kilometers.
There have been no immediate reports of casualties or significant damage following the earthquake.
No tsunami warning has been issued in connection with the tremor.
