Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports has responded to an incident at a school in Vardadzor, Gegharkunik Province, announcing that the case will undergo a comprehensive review.
According to the ministry, it has contacted the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Education Inspection Body and the Republican Pedagogical-Psychological Center to ensure that the incident is examined from multiple perspectives.
The ministry emphasized that the review will take into account the interests and well-being of all children studying at the school and in the classroom concerned.
At the same time, the ministry said that an appropriate legal process will be initiated to seek the removal of the teacher’s right to engage in teaching activities.
Further decisions are expected following the relevant legal and administrative procedures.
