October Childcare Benefit Payments Begin in Armenia: Eligible Recipients Can Receive Up to 10,000 AMD Cashback

The payment process for October childcare benefits and financial assistance for families with three or more children has begun in Armenia, according to the Unified Social Service.

The payments cover two categories of state financial support: the childcare allowance for children under the age of two and the benefit provided for third and subsequent children until they reach the age of six.

The announcement is relevant to families receiving these benefits, who can also take advantage of a cashback program when making eligible cashless purchases.

Who Is Eligible for the October Payments?

The payment process applies to beneficiaries of the following state assistance programs:

Childcare allowance for children under two: Financial support provided to eligible families caring for young children.

Support for third and subsequent children: Financial assistance available under the relevant state program until the child reaches the age of six.

The Unified Social Service has confirmed that the October payment process is underway.

How Does the 20% Cashback Program Work?

According to the Unified Social Service, eligible citizens can receive 20% cashback on qualifying cashless transactions, up to a maximum of 10,000 AMD.

The cashback is provided when beneficiaries make eligible card payments at retail outlets and service establishments operating within Armenia.

For example, a qualifying purchase of 20,000 AMD would generate 4,000 AMD in cashback at the stated rate, provided the transaction meets the program’s conditions and the applicable limit has not been reached.

The maximum cashback amount available under the announced program is 10,000 AMD.

Is a Separate Cashback Application Required?

The Unified Social Service states that cashback is transferred automatically when qualifying card payments are made at eligible merchants and service providers in Armenia.

This means beneficiaries do not need to submit a separate application for each eligible transaction.

However, recipients should check the applicable program conditions, including card eligibility and transaction requirements, to determine which payments qualify.

What Should Beneficiaries Know?

Families receiving childcare allowances or financial support for third and subsequent children should be aware that the October payment process has already started.

The cashback program provides an additional opportunity for eligible beneficiaries to recover part of their spending when paying by card rather than cash.

The key figures are a 20% cashback rate and a maximum cashback amount of 10,000 AMD, subject to the applicable program rules.

Beneficiaries can obtain further information about their payments and eligibility through the Unified Social Service and the financial institution servicing their benefit card.
