Possible Causes and When to Seek Medical Advice

Hand tremors can occur for a variety of reasons. In situations involving stress, anxiety, or extreme fatigue, trembling of the hands is often considered a normal physiological response rather than a medical condition. However, in some cases, persistent tremors may indicate underlying health issues.

Neurologist Pavel Brand shared insights on this topic during an interview with Sputnik Radio. According to the specialist, physiological tremors commonly appear during periods of emotional tension or exhaustion and usually subside within minutes.

If tremors become frequent or persistent, however, they may be associated with neurological conditions and should not be ignored. In such cases, consulting a healthcare professional is strongly recommended.

The expert noted that certain types of tremors are linked to the cerebellum, a part of the brain responsible for coordination. These tremors often intensify when a person attempts to move their hand toward an object. Such symptoms may be observed in cases of cerebellar dysfunction, including conditions related to the effects of alcohol on the brain.

In addition, hand tremors can sometimes be associated with liver disorders, Parkinson’s disease, or other conditions affecting the nervous system. Because of this, ongoing or unexplained tremors require proper medical evaluation to determine their cause.
