New Requirement for Immigrant Visa Applicants Aged 16 and Over

All immigrant visa applicants aged 16 and older are required to submit a police clearance certificate issued within the last 24 months. The document must include all current and previous names and surnames used by the applicant.

According to information provided by the U.S. Embassy in Armenia, the police certificate must be obtained from the applicant’s current country of residence if they have lived there for six months or more. In addition, applicants are required to provide certificates from their country of birth if they resided there for six months or longer, as well as from any other countries where they have lived for a total of 12 months or more after reaching the age of 16.

Applicants are encouraged to review the official requirements carefully and prepare the necessary documents in advance to avoid delays in the visa application process. This information is provided for general guidance and applicants should refer to official embassy sources for the most up-to-date requirements.
