
A yellow weather alert has been issued for Moscow and the Moscow Region due to thunderstorms and strong winds, according to Russia’s Hydrometeorological Center.
The warning will remain in effect until the evening of July 5.
Forecasters say wind gusts could reach 15 meters per second during thunderstorms. The capital is also expected to experience partly cloudy skies with periods of light rain throughout the day.
Temperatures in Moscow are forecast to reach 21–22°C on July 5, with light northwesterly winds. Meteorologists expect showers to continue over the coming days, although temperatures may gradually rise to 24–26°C by the end of the week.
