Veolia Water has announced emergency water supply interruptions in Yerevan, Abovyan and Vayk on October 27, 2026, due to urgent repair work.
The interruptions will affect numerous residential buildings and streets, with scheduled durations ranging from eight hours to more than 12 hours.
Vayk: Water Supply Suspended for Eight Hours
In Vayk, Vayots Dzor Province, water supply will be interrupted from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The affected locations include Jermuk Highway, Azatutyun Street, Yerk raban ner Street (Geologists Street), Shinararneri Street (Builders Street), and Building 6 on Shahumyan Street.
Abovyan: Interruption Until 10:00 p.m.
In Abovyan, Kotayk Province, the emergency shutdown began at 9:25 a.m., with restoration scheduled for 10:00 p.m.
The affected areas include Sevan Street, Hanrapetutyan Avenue, August 23 Street, August 23 Street’s 1st Lane, Rosia Street, Ed. Avagyan Street, Ed. Petrosyan Street and the 2nd Microdistrict.
The interruption is expected to last approximately 12 hours and 35 minutes.
Yerevan: Kanaker-Zeytun District
In Yerevan’s Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district, water supply will be suspended from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The affected streets include Davit Anhaght, A. Tigranyan, N. Surenyan, Varshavyan, Vrtanes Papazyan, Cholakyan, V. Vahyan, Babayan, Aharonyan and H. Nersisyan streets, as well as Azatutyun Lane.
The interruption also covers the following addresses:
Azatutyun Avenue: Buildings 1–2, 2/1–2/6, 4–4/2, 6–6/6, 8–8/4, 10, 10/7, 12–12/8, 14–18, 20, 22/3–24/9 and 26–26/9.
K. Ulnetsi Street: Buildings 1–72 and private houses 1–62/2.
P. Sevak Street: Buildings 1–30/2.
When Will Water Supply Be Restored?
According to Veolia Water, service is scheduled to resume at 6:00 p.m. in Vayk and Kanaker-Zeytun, and at 10:00 p.m. in Abovyan, subject to completion of the emergency repairs.
The company has apologized for the inconvenience and thanked residents for their understanding.
Consumers in the affected areas are advised to make arrangements for essential water needs during the interruption.
