Barry Manilow is one of the most beloved songwriters in the world. His career spans seven decades, with memorable songs and massive hits. Barry’s live album, ‘Live on Broadway,’ was released in 1990 and recorded at the Chicago Theatre.

The album features many of Barry’s biggest hits, including ‘Copacabana,’ and ‘I Write the Songs.’ One of the most memorable moments is when he performs his hit ‘Mandy.’

Barry begins on a black stage, wearing a light baby blue blazer while sitting at a black grand piano. He has an emotional face while singing with his gentle yet powerful voice.

Barry sings the song’s catchy hook, “Oh, Mandy, well, you came, and you gave without taking, but I sent you away. Oh, Mandy, well, you kissed me and stopped me from shaking, and I need you today, oh, Mandy.”

You can give in, you can give out, but you don’t give up.” The crowd applauds him for his inspirational words.

Barry has recorded and released 51 Top 40 singles on the Adult Contemporary Chart, including 13 that hit number one, 28 that appeared within the top ten, making him one of the biggest performers of the century.
