Annie Rester and her three-year-old daughter Emma, a pint-sized gymnastics prodigy. She told DeGeneres she started gymnastics when she was two and a half years old — so, six months ago. Her mother enrolled her in classes because the toddler was clumsy. Quickly, she showed she had a knack for the sport and began to improve. Her favorite things at the gym are backbends and back swings—yes, full swings. Talented girl.
When DeGeneres asked her if she was ever afraid of falling, Emma had the perfect answer: “No because then we’ll be back,” she said, having conquered every heart in America.DeGeneres set up a small gym on her stage so Emma could show off her skills. She waved on the bars, smiled and waved in cups, and nailed her back on the trampoline.
Emma’s mom shares her daughter’s skills on Instagram—@emma_minigymnastbigdreams—and she has over 63,000 followers. It’s a great way to document Emma’s progress for her dad. Rester told DeGeneres that he was in the army and was stationed in South Korea for a year.
