Britain’s Got Talent heartbreaker Henry Gallagher is set to ask his schoolgirl crush out on a date this week following a boost of confidence from the judges.
The 12-year-old singer’s self-penned track Lightning, which he performed with a guitar for Simon Cowell, David Walliams, Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden, saw him sail through to the next round. And they all told him with that track he’d definitely be able to ‘get the girl’.But despite refusing to reveal the name of the girl that doesn’t know his name, it appears Henry has now plucked up the courage to ask her out this week.
Admitting he’s going to try his luck, he told The Sun: ‘Fingers crossed I’ll get a date. (Judge) Amanda Holden said I would get her within two seconds but I’m still a bit shy.If she says yes, she’ll have to keep her wits about her though as it seems young Henry is fast turning into a mini Taylor Swift.
The Wigan-born lad has already said to be writing a follow-up song to Lightning called Best Thing Ever, which is about how he would feel if they really were dating.Henry’s decision comes as his performance had to be defended by BGT bosses after an editing quirk led some viewers to point out that the capo on his guitar jumped to a new position mid-song.
