Every artist dreams of performing on grand stages, before a warm and receptive audience, with the potential to reach a global fanbase.
However, mustering the courage to take that leap is an entirely different challenge. Many never even attempt it, and for those who do, there’s no guarantee that their efforts will be enough to accomplish their goals.
Fortunately, a small children’s choir that faced Simon Cowell and the other judges didn’t have to worry about this. Despite their seemingly unassuming appearance, these primary school students delivered a performance that they will always cherish.
There’s no denying the sheer power of Queen’s song «Don’t Stop Me Now.» It stands as one of the most electrifying songs of the 20th century, if not the greatest. The track beautifully showcases Freddie Mercury’s vocal prowess and captivates anyone who listens to it.
Naturally, singing such a song is no small feat.
However, these youngsters weren’t deterred in the least. They took the stage with infectious enthusiasm, and both the judges and the audience couldn’t help but burst into laughter at their rendition of this iconic song.
What’s even more remarkable is the complete absence of nerves or stage fright displayed by these kids, considering the circumstances. Each one of them approached their performance with confidence and unwavering enthusiasm.
Their rendition left such an impact that it drew both Simon Cowell’s sharp criticism and a Golden Buzzer from judge David Williams.
In fact, they were the first act to receive the ‘Golden Buzzer’ on Britain’s Got Talent in 2018, making a powerful statement with their performance.
