Even though Tyler is only 11 years old, he played the violin with such skill that it brought delight to everyone in the crowd that night and those watching at home. The judges were equally impressed by his performance.
However, Tyler’s remarkable qualities extended beyond his musical talent. At the age of four, he was diagnosed with leukemia and subsequently teased at school. It was during this challenging period that he turned to the violin.
Young Tyler had to endure the difficulties of therapy, including losing his hair, which made him the target of mistreatment at school. Some of his classmates even spread stories about his illness being contagious, leaving him isolated.
Despite these hardships, Tyler managed to regain his strength and spirit when he stumbled upon an advertisement for free violin lessons after school. He began learning the violin at the age of seven.
«All I did was practice in my bedroom, and the more I practiced, the better I became,» he said. «It was simply a matter of dedication.»
