Zion, a 25-year-old hailing from Canton, Ohio, shared on the episode the myriad challenges he has confronted since the earliest moments of his life. Born with the exceptionally rare condition known as caudal regression syndrome, Zion faces life without legs.

«This condition is so uncommon; there’s virtually no information about it,» he shared. «All that’s known is the absence of legs.»

Zion navigated the foster care system during the initial 17 years of his life, growing up without knowing either of his parents. «My mother is in prison, my dad is in jail. I was thrust into the system right from the moment I left the hospital,» he revealed on the episode.
