Who is Sydnie Christmas?
Sydnie Christmas is a stage performer from Kent who also works front of house at a gym. Born in 1996, she was 28 when she auditioned for BGT. Sydnie is a professional singer with experience performing on both theatre and cruise ship stages. Prior to her BGT appearance, she starred in E4’s reality show Stage School, which aired for two seasons in 2016 and 2017, chronicling the lives of students at a real-life stage school, from their auditions to their personal relationships.
Sydnie is also known for her relationship with Max Rizzo, a talented Italian singer from Sicily who is signed with a management agency that discovers rising stars. The couple has both performed in the musical The Starlight Express.

On April 20, 2024, Sydnie wowed the audience and BGT judges with her powerful rendition of Tomorrow from Annie. Amanda Holden was heard saying “it’s too early” as the crowd began chanting Sydnie’s name. Overcome with emotion, Sydnie dropped to the floor in tears as she received a standing ovation from all four judges. Amanda Holden then pressed the Golden Buzzer, sending Sydnie straight to the semi-finals as gold confetti rained down. Overwhelmed, Sydnie looked up at the cheering audience through her tears.
Sydnie’s grandmothers, who were watching from the Palladium, were ecstatic, jumping up and down with joy. When host Declan Donnelly asked Sydnie how she felt, she struggled to find words, eventually saying, “Oh, I don’t know what to say! I cannot believe the amount of love that I felt since it aired… Oh my God, I am overwhelmed with love and it’s the most amazing thing.”
