A magnitude 2.5 earthquake was recorded near the Georgian town of Dmanisi on August 31, according to Armenia’s Rescue Service.
The earthquake occurred at 12:19 PM local time (08:19 GMT), with the epicenter located 4 km northwest of Dmanisi, Georgia, at a depth of 10 km.
The seismic network of Armenia’s Territorial Survey for Seismic Protection recorded the earthquake at coordinates 41.36° N, 44.19° E.
The intensity of the tremor in the epicentral area was measured at 3 points.
The earthquake was also felt in Armenia, including Bavra village in Shirak Province and Metsavan village in Lori Province, where the intensity was estimated at 2–3 points.
