People in Armenia who have reached the age of 63 and have at least 10 calendar years of employment history may be eligible for an old-age labor pension, according to information cited by Iravaban.net.
When calculating the required employment record, periods of employment as well as military service may be taken into account.
In certain cases, an old-age labor pension can be granted one year earlier, from the age of 62. To qualify, a person must have at least 35 years of employment history and must not be working.
Applications and the required documents can be submitted to any territorial center of Armenia’s Unified Social Service. Applicants generally need to provide an identity document, employment record book and military service record, as well as additional documents where necessary.
An old-age labor pension may be granted starting from the date a person turns 63 if the application is submitted within three months of their birthday. If the application is submitted after that three-month period, the pension may generally be granted only from the date of application.
People who do not have the required 10 calendar years of employment history may instead become eligible for an old-age benefit upon reaching the age of 65.
