When two young fans arrived at Keith Urban’s Las Vegas concert with eye-catching, homemade LED signs, the country superstar made sure they didn’t leave empty-handed.
During his residency performance last month, Urban couldn’t ignore the bright, blinking signs in the crowd. Curious, he grabbed a pair of binoculars to read what they said—only to discover they belonged to five-year-old Connor and his younger sister Emma, who had traveled all the way from California with their parents just to see their favorite artist.
Touched by their dedication, Urban invited them up on stage.
“You guys want to come up here? Come on up. I mean, you’ve got battery-operated signs!” he joked.
It was clear that these weren’t just any fans—Connor was decked out in a Keith Urban t-shirt, strumming a toy guitar, while Emma sparkled in a glittery pink outfit and cowboy boots.
Once onstage, Connor proudly told Urban this was his fourth time seeing him in concert. But his mom quickly corrected him—technically, it was his fifth, since she attended an Urban show while pregnant with him.
“Wow, that’s incredible,” Urban laughed. “Was he kicking all night long?”
Their conversation continued, with Connor revealing his favorite Urban song: the 1999 hit “Where the Blacktop Ends.” When Urban asked if he wanted to play guitar for real one day, Connor hesitated before answering with a cheeky, “Maybe!”
Connor’s sign documented his Keith Urban wish list, which included getting his guitar signed and receiving a guitar pick—both of which had already happened at previous shows. That night, he crossed off the final item: snapping a picture with his idol.
The unforgettable experience left a lasting impression. According to his mom, the kids couldn’t stop talking about it. In fact, Connor’s birthday was just days after the concert, and he made an exciting decision:
“Mom, I know what I want for my birthday—I want to learn how to really play guitar.”
And who knows? With Urban’s High and Alive World Tour kicking off in spring 2025, Connor and Emma might just get another chance to see him live.
