Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff, actress and former wife of David Hasselhoff, has sadly passed away at the age of 61. As reported by TMZ, she was found deceased in her Los Angeles home on Wednesday, March 5, in what authorities suspect was a suicide. Concerned family members, who hadn’t heard from her, went to check in and tragically discovered her with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the outlet reported.
A spokesperson for David Hasselhoff shared a statement with PEOPLE, saying:
“Our family is heartbroken over the recent loss of Pamela Hasselhoff. We deeply appreciate the love and support being shown during this time and respectfully ask for privacy as we mourn and come to terms with this tragedy.”
Born on October 16, 1963, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Pamela began a career in acting during the 1980s and 1990s, appearing in a number of television shows and films. She was best known for guest roles on iconic series like Baywatch and Knight Rider, and also took part in soap operas and made-for-TV movies. In 1991, she appeared in The Young and the Restless, and later in the crime drama series Sirens. While her career never reached the same level of fame as her ex-husband’s, Pamela remained active in Hollywood, regularly attending industry events and appearing on various television programs.
She married David Hasselhoff in 1989, and the pair quickly became one of Hollywood’s most talked-about couples. Together, they had two daughters, Taylor and Hayley, both of whom pursued careers in the entertainment industry. Taylor became known for her work in acting and modeling, while Hayley carved out a successful career as a plus-size model and reality TV personality. The couple finalized their divorce in 2006 after nearly 17 years of marriage.
Pamela is survived by her daughters Taylor, 34, and Hayley, 32. Her social media was filled with loving posts about her family, especially her daughters and granddaughter. Taylor welcomed a baby girl named London in August with her husband, Madison Fiore, whom she married in early 2023.
Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff will be remembered for her talent, strength, and the deep love she had for her family.
