On October 26, music powerhouses Luke Combs and Eric Church came together to host the Concert for Carolina, a benefit event raising funds for those impacted by Hurricane Helene. Held at Charlotte’s Bank of America Stadium, the sold-out concert featured an impressive lineup including James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Bailey Zimmerman, and more, delivering an unforgettable night packed with heartfelt performances and unexpected moments.
One of the evening’s most touching surprises came when Nicole Kidman took the stage alongside her husband, Keith Urban—one of the event’s headliners. Kidman shared that it was Urban’s 57th birthday and that performing at the benefit was the one thing he truly wanted to do. “We’re so happy to be here in Charlotte,” she said, adding that the invitation from Eric Church made the event even more special.
Before stepping offstage, Kidman invited Church back up, where the country star led the audience in an impromptu rendition of “Happy Birthday” for Urban. Though caught off guard, Urban smiled warmly, clearly moved by the spontaneous tribute.
Following the celebration, Church and Urban teamed up to perform their hit duet “Raise ‘Em Up,” further electrifying the crowd.
A native of North Carolina, Luke Combs spearheaded the initiative as part of his ongoing efforts to support disaster relief in his home state. The event was livestreamed via Veeps, allowing fans around the world to participate.
Proceeds from Concert for Carolina are set to benefit the Chief Cares Foundation, with Combs also donating to organizations like Samaritan’s Purse, Manna Food Bank, Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC, and Eblen Charities—all dedicated to helping communities recover and rebuild.
