After making it to the Top 20 on American Idol, Foster delivered one of the season’s most moving performances with his original song, «Tell That Angel I Love Her.»
Dedicated to his late friends, Maggie Dunn and Caroline Gill, the emotional ballad brought Foster to tears mid-performance. Overcome with emotion, he ended the song by softly saying, “I love you, Maggie.” Carrie Underwood, visibly moved, asked about the heartfelt dedication.
Foster explained that the song honored Maggie and Caroline, who had both tragically passed away. He then pointed to the audience, where their families sat in support.
