According to Article 1 of the Law on Holidays and Memorial Days, New Year and Christmas holidays are officially observed on December 31, January 1, January 2, and January 6.
In addition, Article 147 of the Labor Code states that on the day preceding a public holiday or memorial day, the length of the working day is reduced by one hour. This rule does not apply to employees working under reduced working hours or part-time arrangements.
As a result, employees who normally work on Saturdays will be able to finish their work one hour earlier on December 30 due to the upcoming New Year holidays.
