A large-diameter water pipeline (700 mm) connected to the “Makravan–Abovyan” line has been damaged in the area of the “Makravan 4” pumping station near Hrazdan. As a result, water supply has been temporarily suspended from 19:30 for the following locations:
• Abovyan and Charentsavan
• Kahsi, Bjni, Teghenik, Karashamb, Nor Gyugh, Karenis, Solak
• Nurnus summerhouse area
• Argel, Alapars, Arzni, Kotayk (partially affected)
According to preliminary information, water supply is expected to be restored on December 31, around 11:00, if repair work proceeds as planned.
Teams from Veolia Water are currently on site. While the damaged pipeline is being cleared and prepared, repair operations are ongoing. The company states that every effort is being made to complete the work as efficiently as possible and restore service at the earliest opportunity.
