

Doctors Highlight Foods That May Help Support the Body Against Serious Diseases
Therapist and TV presenter Elena Malysheva stated during a broadcast on Russia’s Channel One Russia program “Live Healthy” that sulforaphane has scientifically confirmed properties associated with protecting the body from cancer-related processes.
Sulforaphane, a compound linked to slowing the growth of malignant cells, is found in particularly high amounts in cruciferous vegetables. Cardiologist Herman Gandelman explained that 100 grams of broccoli can contain up to seven daily portions of sulforaphane, while the same amount of white cabbage provides approximately two daily portions of this compound.
In addition to its widely studied anti-cancer properties, sulforaphane is also associated with helping regulate blood glucose levels and combating harmful pathogens. According to medical experts, its beneficial effects remain present even after vegetables are cooked, making it a practical component of everyday meals.
Red Grapes and Cardiovascular Health
Further research conducted by scientists at King Faisal University in Saudi Arabia suggests that regular consumption of red grapes may help reduce the risk of developing diabetes and certain cardiovascular diseases.
Researchers attribute the positive effects of red grapes to their high concentration of plant-based compounds, including antioxidants and polyphenols. These substances are known to support metabolic balance and contribute to overall heart health when included as part of a balanced diet.
