An unusual and alarming incident occurred in Armenia’s Ararat region on March 16. Shortly after midnight, a young boy was transported to the Arabkir Medical Center with a diagnosis of clinical death.
According to reports by photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, doctors at the medical center provided emergency treatment for about an hour and managed to restore the child’s heartbeat. Despite this, the boy remains in extremely serious condition.
Police officers at the hospital determined that the child had been brought from the Ararat region. The information was then transferred from the Arabkir police department to the Masis police department for further investigation.
Law enforcement officials later identified the hospitalized child as 1-year-and-2-month-old Aleksan M. According to preliminary operational information, one of the parents may have physically abused the child.
Documents related to the incident have been prepared at the Masis police department and transferred to the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia, specifically to the Ararat regional investigative division’s Masis investigation department, where the case is currently under investigation.
