The Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center reports that a cyclone approaching from the Mediterranean region will bring precipitation to Armenia in the coming days
On March 14 precipitation is expected in some regions while on March 15 and 16 it will affect most parts of the country In mountainous areas it will mainly fall as snow while foothill and valley regions may experience mixed snow and rain or rainfall
Heavy snowfall is expected on March 15 and 16 in Shirak Lori the highland areas of Tavush the mountainous zones of Aragatsotn Kotayk Vayots Dzor and Syunik as well as in Gegharkunik In some places snowfall may be significant and may be accompanied by snowstorms and reduced visibility Ice may also form on roads
Drivers are advised to travel with winter tires in these areas and remain cautious while driving
