The Ministry of Defense of Armenia has introduced a draft decision for public discussion outlining the organization and implementation of the 2026 summer military conscription.
According to the proposal, the conscription campaign will take place from May 5 to August 15, 2026. During this period, male citizens who turn 18 will be called up for mandatory military service. It will also include those whose deferments expire by June 30, 2026.
In addition, female citizens who submitted voluntary applications before March 1, 2026, as well as male citizens who expressed a desire to serve voluntarily, will also be eligible for conscription under the same framework.
At the same time, by August 15, 2026, servicemen who have completed their mandatory or alternative military service within the legally defined срок will be discharged.
The draft also defines the procedures, responsible bodies, and operational steps required to ensure the proper organization of the conscription process.
