A criminal case has been initiated following the incident that occurred on April 2, 2026, at a military training ground under Armenia’s Ministry of Defense.
According to official information, the case has been launched under Article 550, Part 3 (military negligence resulting in death by negligence) and Article 532, Part 3 (violation of rules for handling weapons, ammunition, military equipment, or other hazardous materials resulting in death).
It has been confirmed that a contract serviceman died as a result of the incident.
During the preliminary investigation, several urgent investigative and procedural actions have already been carried out to clarify the circumstances of the case.
