Doctor Names Foods That May Support Cancer Prevention

Oncologist William Li has identified several foods that may help support the body’s natural defenses against cancer, according to comments cited by the Daily Mirror.

The specialist explained that cancer cells can form regularly in the body, but a healthy immune system is often able to detect and destroy them. Greater risks may arise when the immune system is weakened or when chronic inflammation develops due to factors such as smoking or excessive sun exposure.

Dr. Li emphasized that food itself does not directly prevent cancer, but certain products may strengthen the body’s ability to fight inflammation and abnormal cells.

According to him, foods such as soy, tomatoes, apples, and berries contain beneficial nutrients including vitamins, polyphenols, and antioxidants that support immune health.

He noted that maintaining a balanced diet and healthy lifestyle can play an important role in overall well-being and immune function.
